Technology Experience of the Young: It is a well-known fact in the field of developmental psychology that interacting and playing is a substantial aspect of child development and an important part of daily life interaction. Children with disabilities have limited possibilities for interaction with social and material environment. Through the implementation of supportive technologies this interaction possibilities could be enhanced. The aim of these research activities is to identify and study the fundamental properties of basic interaction techniques (e. g. touch, gesture, gaze, movement) between children and supportive systems. Results from this analysis are then used to create specific and innovative contextual experiences that address the needs of children with disabilities.
