It works on methods to improve the physiologically and psychologically proper processing of visual information in multimedia and virtual reality applications. Important research areas are the theory and practice of multimedia, virtual reality and “Design for All”, the Laboratory is a partner in several R&D projects, focusing on rehabilitation and education. The Laboratory participated in all above research areas in several national and international (EU) projects. Results of the Laboratory are used in the rehabilitation of strokes patients, in the education of students with intellectual disability.

Dvorah Agmon Preschool Development Center The Dvorah Agmon Preschool Development Centeris an educational and rehabilitative kindergarten facility .It provides support services for 160 children with developmental and neurological impairments that cause motor , learning and language delays. The children come from the Jerusalem area and from different backgrounds – Arab and Jewish, secular and religious - learn side by side. We practice building a bridge of understanding, brotherhood and mutual aid in a reality of coexistence. Our goals are to help the child attain maximum independence in various fields of functioning, to improve the child's quality of life and that of his or her family, and to do all we can to facilitate the child's integration into the community and into society.

The uniqueness of our model is the integration of physical accessibility (the design and special facilities are adapted for children and adults with all ranges of ability) and structured social accessibility (including initiated educational and social activities, events and community festivals) to raise awareness and teach children how to play together.

The Laboratory of Robotics and Learning Technologies is part of DISPOC and it is directed by Prof. Patrizia Marti. The laboratory develops and experiments with interactive technologies and robotic systems according to the principles of Interaction Design. The projects are oriented to various fields of application, from entertainment, to learning, from rehabilitation, to providing support to the development of the autonomy of persons with disabilities. The laboratory offers a showcase of various types of interactive technologies and robots like PARO and IROMEC.
